Feb 8Monday NIGHT Power Yoga 7-8pm - Taught by Nina Mistry Fast flowing session with a mix of vinyasas and stretching. 60 minutes session. Good for people with some knowledge of Yoga. *** please have a yoga mat, a screen big enough to watch while you are participating and a yoga block and or towel. https://zoom.us/j/96227163600... About Nina: Nina Mistry is a registered yoga teacher and a certified laughter yoga leader. She has been exploring yoga and laughter for as long as she can remember. Being born in Mumbai gave her a strong connection to India and its teachings. Her journey with laughter began as a child, joking around with friends, and developed into stand up comedy as an adult. Now she uses yoga and the power of laughter to help people bring peace to their mind, body and soul. Nina feels life is too short to be taken seriously, so she empowers individuals to find their inner child through movement and playfulness. Her classes tend to be a mixture of traditional and non-traditional asanas (poses) mixed with pranayama (breathwork). She loves to create classes that make your soul smile. Connect with her on Instagram: mistry.yoga for private group and one-on-one sessions, or on ZOOM Sundays at 4 with Phoenix Community Yoga.

Thank you North Van Cares Foundation for picking VASS - Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports as the charity of choice for funds raised from these fabulous North Van Cares toques! Order yours at https://northvancouvercares.com/vass/ North Vancouver Cares was started during COVID to help our most at-risk community members get groceries, prescriptions...even beer! By the summer of 2020 we pivoted to creating custom designs for local non-profits and charities. All the money from the sa...le of our goods goes to support those causes. The Foundation also has a program that encourages our youngest community members to write cards and letters to seniors. In 2020 over 1700 cards, gifts and letters were distributed throughout the shore from North Van Cares. In 2021 we will be introducing more and more causes and community outreach! Join us to be a part of the fun! Thank you Jacquie McCarnan for your massive heart! #northvancares #vassmagic #northvancouver

Sniff Sniff Dear VASS Family, With the recent rise of COVID-19 cases in both the Vancouver and Fraser Health Regions and in consideration of our current provincial restrictions from Dr Bonnie Henry, VASS has made the difficult decision to suspend all services for the 2020-2021 ski and snowboard season. This means cancellation of all scheduled and non-scheduled trainings, programs and drop-in lessons. When the BC COVID-19 case numbers become more favourable and the current h...ealth orders allow, consideration will be given to running drop-in lessons and instructor training. We do have a comprehensive return-to-sport plan in place in case this is a possibility. The VASS staff and Board of Directors will be assessing the situation and we will keep you informed if there are any changes. We recognize that this news is disappointing and that VASS is an important part of physical, mental and social wellbeing for each of us. We encourage you to stay positive and to think of this as a ‘pause’ for VASS. During this time, we are committed to keeping the VASS Magic alive and to adding value, connection and fun to our VASS community in other ways off of the mountain. Our executive director, James Peters, will continue to be available, for any questions and concerns. Thank you for keeping the VASS Magic alive! We look forward to the 2021-2022 snow season, where we can all play and laugh again, together, in person. Sincerely, VASS Board of Directors
