We finally get rid of 2020 with a great match against Finland with our annual NYE World Junior game! Canada looks to go undefeated and take 1st place in the RR. This will be the 39th meeting between the teams at the World Juniors, with Canada wining 11 of the last 13. We have had 2 wins and 2 ties on NYE when playing Finland, and here is to the 3rd win! Canada is back at it against Switzerland for their 3rd game of the round robin. While we have dominated them (23-0-0) at this tournament, we needed a shootout in 2016 and had a 1 goal victory just 2 years ago when they last met, so the Swiss are highly motivated to get that first win! After a big win to start the tournament, Canada is back in action again today. Playing against a young team from Slovakia who has some future stars, it will be a good test for Canada to tighten up and keep getting better! The #GTHL today has postponed all sanctioned hockey activity until January 4, 2021 which includes House League, Select and Rep. We are preparing information and we will be communicating this over the next couple of days. For more information on the GTHL's decision, please check out their website and links on our website. Did you borrow goalie equipment during the 2019-2020 season? We are finally able to start taking it back and have set up two dates this week. Please make sure to come by Al Palladini East Rink this Monday and Tuesday (Sept.21/22) between 7:30pm-9:00pm. Access will be via the back doors to the rink which face Rutherford Road. You will not be able to enter the rink. Please make sure to wear a mask and physical distance if others are around!...
