Velo Club Cheticamp

Sentier Mine de plâtre : Le Club vélo de Chéticamp et le comité du sentier de la mine de plâtre organise une rencontre publique pour parler des choses à faire pour terminer le sentier; installer les bancs, les enseignes, les barrières et parler des déchets laissés sur place, etc. Alors si la marche, le vélo, la motoneige et le VTT vous intéressent, venez assister à une réunion qui aura lieu ce jeudi soir 7 mai à 19H00 (7h00) à l’école NDA. Il sera question de finir le senti...er de la Mine de Plâtre et de son ouverture officielle qui aura lieu le 11 juillet. On parlera aussi des activités de Vélo Club Chéticamp pour la saison 2015. Gypsum Mine Trail/Sentier mine de plâtre. All those interested in the Gypsum Mine Trail, hiking/walking, ATV and Skidoo or cycling are invited to a public meeting that will be held this coming Thursday evening, May the 7th, at 7 pm at the NDA School. The object of the meeting will be to discuss the completion of the Gypsum Mine Trail, putting signs, benches, gates, culverts and the issue of garbage on site, etc... The official opening is set for July 11, 2015. We will also discuss the activities of Vélo Club Cheticamp, our local cycling club, for the 2015 season. Everyone is welcome. Across the Highlands Mountain bike Challenge was an immense success last Saturday. It was worth all the hard work that we put into the preparation of this event.... AHC-2014 a Chéticamp samedi dernier a été un immense succès. Le résultat a valu les nombreuses heures passées à organiser cet événement.

Hello everyone, we are pleased to announce that we have formed a new cycling club named Velo Club Cheticamp to serve the area. This new club will focus on organizing bicycling activities as well as promoting cycling as a fun physical activity. This was done with the encouragement of Velo Cape Breton as membership in the Cheticamp Chapter of VCB had reached a sufficient level to warrant a stand-alone club. We will maintain a close working relationship with Velo Cape Breton with each club keeping its membership informed of the other's activities. Stay tuned for information on up-coming events.
