Gallery delivery days are fun days!

Hello!!! How has the past week been for ya? Mine was incredibly wild in every possible way: First, I got to photograph this gorgeous family on a lovely Sunday eve. Then I was really blessed to touch base with some of my favourite folks in Alberta(sorry I couldn’t see *all* of you), also was a blessing to see some of my biological family, which created space for me to emotionally start grieving my grandma instead of just being numb about it, ya feel?... Also chatted with my 23 yr old biological sister for 2+ hrs until 2am one nightI really hope the camrose neighbours were able to sleep through my loud laugh as I walked around the block, wrapped in a blanket with headphones, while she and I roasted each other in French + Lingala. She brings out foolery out of me like no one else can, and it sometimes doesn’t feel like it’s been almost 14 whole years since I last saw her, and the rest of my immediate biological fam for that matter!!! WILD. Talked with one of my aunt whose voice sounds EXACTLY like my late grandma, so when I tell you that I almost crapped my pants upon hearing her voice, I almost crapped my pants, folks they passed her the phone without warning me and my brain was like so they shipped grandma’s body back to the Congo because they know how to bring people back to life????????? I have also BEEN LOWKEY HAVING AN EXISTENTIAL CRISIS BECAUSE WHEN IM ASKED TO SHARE A BIT OF MY STORY, IT FEELS LIKE I’VE LIVED A THOUSAND DIFFERENT LIVES, AND MOST OF THEM SEEM TO HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH EACH OTHER. BUT GOD STILL HAS ME HERE, WHICH MEANS THERE IS MORE TO THE PLOT THAT IS MY LIFE STORY AND I AM GENUINELY DISTRESSED BECAUSE WHAT ELSE DOES HE HAVE TO ADD TO THIS PLOT AND IS IT GOING TO BE A NARRATIVE THAT FINALLY TIES ALL THESE LIVES TOGETHER OR AM I ALWAYS GONNA BE A BIG ASS QUESTION MARK UNTIL HEAVEN ARRIVES??????asking for me. I’m so sure that there are times when we do believe lies about God and that’s when those thoughts come. But at the end of the day, I’m still feeling this, I’m still struggling with this. So what are you gonna do: keep on telling me that I’m not trusting God enough or help me unpack why it is that I don’t trust? Let’s help create a culture where authentic living is actually something we do, other than something we say to fit in. Back to editing in between the waiting of life to have a recognizable rhythm again... or in between the waiting for my brain to come to accept & love the current rhythm? Either way, we are back to editing while we’re waiting. And it can be lovely even when it is hard. And more on the list of things I find lovely: these two humans that I had the pleasure of enjoying a mini picnic & sunset dance session with, WHICH ALL INVOLVED THEIR CUTE & GENTLE DOG. Absolutely stoked to hang again, guys!! @ Cultus Lake Flower Fest

Happy Tuesday, folks!! Been a wild past few days out here in Aimerance Town. Death is a weird thing to process when your body can’t seem to make it past the shock. If you’re a person of prayer and I cross your mind sometimes, shoot a prayer up on behalf of me & my family, will ya? Thank you in advance!...
