A heartfelt thank you to the Town of Vermilion for the "Happy Bags" which are being delivered today to all residents in the Valley Lodge and all three manors. Was great to see all the smiles when each person recieved their unexpected gift. The gift bags are filled with fun items to pass the time! Thank you again.
Since we weren't able to hold our traditional, large Halloween event the recreation assistants got busy drumming up one heck of a Spooktacular Halloween Scavenger Hunt! Residents and staff participated in this facility event, which included 8 different stops. They were: Mummy Bowling Candlelight beanbags Willys roadhouse cauldren toss Candy corn ring toss ... Candy guess Jack-o'-lantern golf Pumpkin and bat tic tac toe Spooky sensory mystery guess and Grand prize plinko Upon finishing the hunt, residents were treated to appys and snacks in the Rec Room. Have a fun and safe Halloween! Reminder that we will not be handing out candy at Vermilion Valley Lodge this year due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Please see below regarding handing out Halloween candy at VDHF properties.

We have been hosting multiple tasting events for our residents in the month of October! So far we have done tea tasting, wine tasting and cheese tasting. Residents are walked through different varieties of the tasting menu and given a chance to share their thoughts on each bite. These events have gone over well and have been enjoyed by all who came! A fun way to try something new.
