Peace is powerful and complex. The second aspect of wisdom from above in James 3:17 is "peace-loving." No one likes turmoil and tension and we love to have peace but the word in this passage means much more than freedom from tension. Take a look and see the peace that a wise life provides.

Living a wise life is a challege and a blessing, join us in undertanding the difference between the wisdom of the world and the wisdom of God as we learn how to live the wise life of purity that God intends.

2nd Peter has been a study of God's word intended to encouage us to Grow in Jesus and our faith, Know Jesus and identify false teachings, and Show ourselves and others that we believe that Jesus is coming soon...ready or not! We hope you have been blessed in our time of study and application of God's word.

What kind of notice do you like to have when company is coming? Can you deal with short notice, need a bit, or would rather have a while to get things ready? So, how about when Jesus says He is coming soon and will just 'drop in' one day? Maybe a study of 2nd Peter 3:10-13 can help us get ready and stay ready.

Thinking about thinking is worthwhile thinking, in particular when our thoughts are drawn to the truth of the second coming of Jesus. When you think of the return of Jesus what do you think about? How do your thoughts about the return of Jesus impact your day to day life? A study of 2nd Peter 3:109 reminds us that God is patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. Good thoughts that lead to thanksgiving!
