Our September Outdoor Sales start this Saturday, 12th and will continue the following two Saturdays weather permitting. We have more boxes to open and will have our tables full of the categories listed below. So come and stock up on books for fall & winter! Staying Safe .... This post is a ShoutOut to say THANK YOU to our wonderful and loyal volunteers who make the book sales possible! The photos have not captured everyone who worked at the Saturday Sales. I cant believe we are missing a pic of Ginny but all are appreciated for giving up part of their summer days.

Our tireless leader, Linda with our treasurer Jane happily counting up the cash after our last sale. The Saturday Sales of summer, four in July, have been very successful! Many customers went home with a supply of books for summer reading. We will be back September 12 with Saturday Sales as long as weather permits to continue raising money for the Library.

Yes we have more boxes to open, more NEW BOOKS to put out on the tables for you to browse. This will be our 4th and final Saturday this summer. Be sure to tell your friends and SHARE this post! Our third Saturday and another great sale. It was a beautiful sunny day, but we had some shade. We are going to do it again next Saturday so mark your calendars and come browse our many books! Will post list of categories soon!

The last two Saturdays the weather was perfect for our Outdoor Book Sales and this Saturday is looking like another great day! Our first Outdoor Book Sale at our sorting location in Coldstream! We had a fantastic safe & successful sale day thanks to our wonderful loyal customers and volunteers. We will be doing this again...EVERY SATURDAY IN JULY ...... unless rain is in the weather forecast. Will post later this week to let you know which categories will be out on the tables next week.

Ginny and Leroy are still ready to unload boxes for our first outdoor book sale. HOWEVER, the weather forecast is calling for rain and thunderstorms for 27 June, so we are once again postponing and will try for 4 July, The sale is in the parking lot at 9908 Kalamalka Road, 10-3 with fiction, mystery, kids books and non-fiction including history, biography, gardening, and cooking.See you there with sunglasses and sunhats!

One of these upcoming Saturdays has to be rain-free. Cross your fingers!

Its absolutely unbelievable that Saturday will again bring rain! Books do not survive rain so we must postpone again but we will try again next Saturday June 27. And we will keep trying until the weather cooperates!

We will be following Health Department guidelines and asking you to wear your mask. We want to Stay Safe so that we can hold more Saturday Outdoor Book Sales this summer. We are watching the weather forecast and as long as the showers are forecast for the evening, not during the day, we will be there with lots of books on Saturday!

The weather forecast for next Saturday is perfect for an OUTDOOR BOOK SALE at our COLDSTREAM location -June 20 The rain forecast was dead right for this weekend so fingers crossed that it correct that next Saturday will be sunny and hot!

Good news from the American Library Association

POSTPONEMENT! The annual May Book sale has been postponed until September 10-12, 2020. All Rec Centre facilities are closed for the immediate future and that includes our venue, the Vernon Curling Rink. So stay safe at home, finish up all those books you picked up at last year's sale, and look forward to September. We'll be back......
