Continuing with our DID YOU KNOW TRIVIA Did you know that we have 4 separate rental spaces within the Hall? ....that's correct 4!... The MAIN HALL which many of you know is the space that most people would attend weddings, funerals , wedding socials, fundraising events, Elections and so much more. just under 4500 square feet it is a fantastic space to host larger events and with Covid-19 restrictions in place it provides plenty of room for social distancing. The LEGION ROOM is a smaller meeting room, it is the perfect size to host bridal and baby showers, workplace training, committee meetings, and so much more. This room is just under 1500 square feet and is used at weddings for supper service as it can be easily accessed from the Main Hall. The Catering Kitchen is mostly used by caterers when preparing meals for events within the Hall, in previous years we had cooking classes offered in the space (This is when I learned to make sushi ...YUM). Caterers also use this kitchen to cook for events within the community that don't have a certified kitchen on site. Lastly the FOOD PROCESSING CENTER (FPC), this was in previous years known as the Kinsmen Room (or the drivers testing room if your my age ...lol). This space is 1000 square feet and is rented in conjunction with the caterers kitchen. It is a licensed inspected facility that meets Provincial food safe standards. This kitchen allows Food Entrepreneurs the opportunity to Produce there products for retai,l right here in our Swan River Valley. This is so exciting... DID YOU KNOW.....SMAK DAB, a Winnipeg based Mustard Company, produces there product at our Facility. The Owner is a Local girl(Carly Minish-Wytinck), she has been producing her gourmet line of mustard at our facility for several years. Her mustard can be seen in retail stores such as CO-OP and Sobeys all across the western provinces! DID You Know that when the Swan Valley CO-OP were doing their store renovation last fall. the Produce, Bakery and Deli all worked out of the Food Processing Center. A development center that was only a block away from them, how amazing is that? Did you have any idea that this was available in our awesome little community?

Lets do something a little exciting! I'm going to start a DID YOU KNOW Trivia about the VETERANS COMMUNITY HALL! Random info about the hall that you may or may not know :) DID YOU KNOW? The Veterans Community Hall was originally named The Swan River Legion Community Hall... In 2008 the Town of Swan River obtained the Legion Community Hall. It was then renamed VETERANS COMMUNITY HALL (In honor of those who had worked so very hard to provide this facility in our community)

So very EXCITING! The Hall has received a new upgrade. With funds from the Doc Walker concert in January and the Town of Swan River we were able to give the Hall a well needed new sign.
