New Firehall #17-Fraserview. Construction is well underway and the building is taking shape!
What a busy day for Vancouver Fire Fighters this past Thursday. 3rd alarm fire, 2 Tech Rescue calls, and a fire in a high rise building on the 15th floor, plus numerous medical-aids and alarm calls. Firehall #1 and #9 supporting our brothers and sisters of the Vancouver Police Department with helping a person in trouble in East Van this past Thursday. Teamwork at its finest. Ladder 1 with the high point, and Engine 9 as the anchor. Well done VPD for saving that mans life, along with the countless other things you do for the greater good of our city!
On this day, in 1886, the newly forme Vancouver Fire Brigade never stood a chance https://www.vancouverisawesome.com//in-1886-a-fire-burned-
Firehall #1’s A-Shift has a new Battalion Chief! BC Rosenlund has 29 years of seniority and experience in a long and distinguished career with the VFRS. Here he is seen inspecting his new shift of crew mates during the morning lineupa tradition of years past. Way to keep old traditions alive Chief! ... *Photos used with Capt Messenger’s permission
2 day fight on this stubborn fire. Great job to all halls and shifts involved.
