A: There are two ways to achieve the scuffed effect: the first is hand shaving the colour dyes down to reveal the natural shell underneath; the second is during the tanning process, where aniline dyes are first applied by hand to the shell, and then carefully shaved down to reveal some of the base colour beneath. ... The Short Hunter is an improved version of Viberg’s classic Insulated Hunting Boot we have made since the early 1980s. We have reduced the overall height of the boot to allow it to be worn more casually and also on a weekend adventure. It's built with 200 gram Thinsulate to allow full warmth during the cold months. The welt is a 360 Split welt which allows for water to bead off of the ...boot as you walk through wet terrain.
