The breath is the essence of life, it is also the essence of a yoga practice. With so much importance of the breath in daily life, it would be incredibly beneficial to know, understand and connect with the breath for greater health and wellbeing. In times of stress, tension, and anxiety working with the breath can be a wonderful way to find relaxation and peace. ~ ‘I thoroughly enjoyed the breathing workshop! It has helped me both in my yoga practice and in my regular life. ... In my yoga practice, it has helped me to become more aware of how to use my breath with my movements. In my regular life, it has helped me to stay calm when I feel overwhelmed or stressed. I have been practicing one of the techniques in the mornings and find that I am able to be a more grounded caretaker with the children in my care. I also used some of my learning to help a child to use their breath when they felt anxious. Super excited for the Art of Breathing workshop this Sunday Jan 19 from 1-3pm. We will be learning about the significance and importance of the breath from Anatomical, Yogic and Ayurvedic perspectives. Of course we will be practicing too.
