Happy Human of Vic Athletics Thursday! What is your favorite sport/exercise right now? "Strength + Conditioning workouts because they are very adaptable!"... How are you staying active during quarantine? "I have been fortunate enough to be able to row out of Hanlan rowing club (@hanlanboat) until this month. More recently I have been dog walking/running, erging at a distance with the varsity rowing team and trying to lift heavy things." What is your favorite memory about staying active/sports/intramurals? "I have always enjoyed the energy right before a big race, competition or game. Particularly with team sports, regardless of whether I am participating or spectating, the passion that everyone brings is really energising!" What is your favorite healthy snack/food? "Big fan of roasted veggies and fruit smoothies!" What activity or sport are you most looking forward to do after quarantine or miss the most? "I am looking forward to watching live sports with friends and family! Also really looking forward to playing with swords again (@varsitybluesfencing)." Any tips or advice for other people for staying active? "Try not to compare yourself to others. Social media is a highlights reel rather than the full story. Health and wellbeing are personal and look different for everyone. If you are able to workout for 1.5 hours everyday that is awesome! If you haven't worked out in weeks but decide to start by working through a 15-minute workout challenge today, that is also awesome!" - Emily, 4th year
