Just before the pandemic, we held our 26th annual Chinese New Year celebration and we auctioned off a day trip Cruising the Gulf Islands! Victoria Hospitals Foundation’s Executive Director Avery Brohman and Executive Assistant Danita Duguay are soaking up the rays on this beautiful day! Special thanks to Captain Kenneth Ireson and Skipper Joanne Wong of Royce Sailing Company for your wonderful and generous donation!

We attended the grand opening of the Chinese Museum pop-up in Fan Tan Alley. What a beautiful day and proud to see the fruition of our efforts in getting this display to the oldest Chinatown in Canada!
Still doing our part helping as much as we can during Covid. Nelles and Susanne are refurbishing soap for Soap For Hope, thank you ladies for volunteering your time! It’s surprising how many people are not able to have needed toiletries and this organization is fabulous at getting it out there!
Announcing our prawn winners! Congratulations to Josie, David and Yixi who each won 5 pounds of fresh spot prawns from Salish strait Seafoods, along with a bottle of Sambal Oelek sauce and a recipe for the famous Asian Drunken Prawns! Special thanks to Dan for his generosity in donating these DELISH prawns and his tireless crew, now working on their 40th day straight to bring these to our local community! Too bad last day for sales is tomorrow, as the season ends until next May.

Congratulations to Amanda Mills (top left) for receiving the Lions Quest Canada Fellowship Award, presented by District Governor Cec Specht (center). Such a deserving award for all her contributions and hard work these past 9 years! We have completed our last Zoom meeting as a Lioness Club and have now switched over to a Lions Club, but we remain the same strong group of women still active for our community!
