Hello everyone again. We have invited the the Town of Falher Council & Administration to our NEXT MEETING ON JUNE 21, 2017 at 7:30 PM at the CLUB ALOUETTE IN FALHER to hear the problems and complaints we have regarding the Town of Falher Land-use bylaw, its policies and administration. We have tried two different attempts to meet with them and were refused both times so we have now invited them to our meeting. Should you have any questions call Vic at 780-837-0505 or Duan...e at 780-837-0150. We would like to have all the support we had at our last meeting and plus more. We will have a moderator to control the meeting. If you could each express your concerns and situation, it would be greatly appreciated as it seems they dont know any of them. Vic and Anne have spoke with the mayor and some councillors were unaware of some of the concerns that had been brought up. Trusting to see you all on June 21st at 7:30 p.m. at the Club Alouette. Bring your family, friends and anyone who has some invested interest in seeing Falher grow. Yours truly Vic Roy

I would like to say thank you to all the concerned citizens that came to our meeting regarding the town of Falher last night. It turned out better then I had expected with a count of 34 showing up, most of which were businesses and resident having issue with the towns bylaws and the way they are being applied. We are going to the council meeting on April 10th with our concerns. We are also going to have an open meeting with the council and the citizens of this town on a later date. We have to open the councils eyes with our problems and work together to create a solution for this struggling town. Not everything is black and white. We have to spread the word that we are open for buisness and that we welcome progress to our town. We need to do away with the nitpicking and senseless bylaws. A concerned business owner ~Victor Roy

Just a reminder to all those concerned with the direction the Town of Falher Administration and council is going. Please come to our meeting tomorrow, March 28th at 7pm at the old Radio Shack building in Falher. For your information did you know we have 11 empty business buildings in town. Also that there is 104 pages of land use bylaws in Falher. The CAO has refused residences and businesses from building in our town because of their land use bylaws. Rezoning can be changed ...for the good of the town. They are making so many people frustrated that they just move to the next place. If we dont do something quickly we will be losing more. We have to be proactive to these concerns. Tax payers and even people interested in moving into town or starting a business should have a say. You dont have to be threatened or chased away by the town administration and council. Concerned Citizen ~Victor Roy

With the response Ive been getting from the businesses and residents of Falher and area, we are going to have a meeting in the old Radio Shack building located on 31st Main St SW in Falher on March 28 at 7:00 pm. This meeting is to discuss the problems we are having with the administration, council and the future of our town. Everyone is welcome and your thoughts and ideas on the matter would be much appreciated. My concern alone wont make a difference. If you cant make it... to the meeting please call me at 780-837-0505 for your input. On April 10th we meet with the Falher Town Council to voice our concerns. Please Share this post to get the word out. Thank you Victor Roy

What is the purpose of the town council and town administration? I would think that we voted for them in hopes of getting a town that would help the residents and business owner with there needs while also trying to bring people into town. As far as im concerned the town is making our lives miserable with their unreasonable amounts of rules and regulations. Im not saying you dont need rules, you most definitely do. However there is a point where you draw the line. It seem...s like all they do is put a number of policies together for their policy handbook and follow it no matter what sense it makes. You phone the town office and half the time they cant help you because it doesnt follow the unreasonable standards of this book. I know of quite a few residents and business owners who are willing to spend their money and time on upgrading their house, shop and business which could improve the town, but are shot down because the administration wont budge to help them out. There are 4 empty businesses in town and numerous empty houses. I wonder why? Who in their right mind would move to Falher or set up shop when the administration only worries about their policies and are not willing to work with the people of this town. Common sense would go a long way with this town, not everything is black and white like their handbook. I would like to hear from anyone who has had to deal with the town administration, good or bad. I would like to hear from anyone who doesnt like where this town is heading for the future. I plan to meet with the town council and bring their unreasonable policy book to a reality because I am fed up. ~Victor Roy Vics Car Care - 780-837-2665 Cell -780-837-0505 Email - [email protected]
