World Children's Day offers each of us an inspirational entry-point to advocate, promote and celebrate children's rights, translating into dialogues and actions that will build a better world for children. Spend some extra time with the children in your life today. We have so much to learn from them.
Bystanders are people who witness an action like bullying, either in person or online. Bystanders don’t get involved when they witness bullying. They are worrie...d they can’t help, that others won't approve and are afraid of being the bully’s next target. Encourage your child to stop being a bystander and help stop bullying by taking these steps: -Tell the person who is bullying to stop. -Speak up for the person who is being bullied. -Find someone who has the skills and authority to help such as an adult. -Let them know that they do not deserve to be treated that way and it is not their fault. Visit scho.ca/n813978 for more information. #BullyingAwarenessWeek

Today we honour the hero's who have given their lives serving Canadians and helping people of other Nations. Lest we forget.
Violence against women and girls, especially domestic violence, has increased drastically in recent months. The COVID-19 pandemic has aggregated risk factors fo...r this violence - job loss, school closures, food shortage, economic insecurity, social isolation, and the threat of civil unrest. This has helped to fuel a frightening increase in all forms of domestic abuse and violence against women and girls, including physical, psychological, sexual and economic. #16days #orangetheworld See more
