My weekly recap is designed to keep you updated with insights from our investment teams from around the world. MARKET RECAP Markets were volatile this week as m...ore jurisdictions in North America eased into re-opening businesses and U.S.-China tensions increased. Statistics Canada reported that the inflation rate turned negative in April, thanks to lower oil prices and factors related to the pandemic. The consumer prices index was -0.2% on a year-over-year basis last month, down from a 0.9% increase in March. See more
You are better off with a proper licensed financial advisor, rather than trying to do this on your own, or rather than just a bank salesperson.
Today the Government of Ontario held a press conference speaking to the list of Essential Services that will remain open, as outlined HERE (https://www.ontario.ca/page/list-essential-workplaces) . Unsurprisingly, Financial Services (insurance and investment advice/ delivery) has been deemed as an essential service... but we already knew this! Canadians will still have financial challenges; they'll still need insight, expertise and the solutions that I provide. Although I can'...t necessarily say it's "business as usual", I will say it's ESSENTIAL that you understand that I will be working with you, every step of the way. Just about everything financial transaction you make through me, can and is being done over the phone / online. Hello people, I am not convinced that a fb page is of any real benefit. Does anyone ever visit this page? Hit like if you do. if enough response, I will start putting regular content on here.
RRSP deadline is 1st March. For those who may be concerned that I won't get to you on time, don't worry. You can put your RRSP contribution into a REDEEMABLE GIC at your bank, so you get your rebate for last year. I can see you anytime then to roll it into something decent with guarantees.
