Looking for a safe, outdoor & super fun activity for your child this summer? Victoria Youth Paddling Club will be running summer camps, in strict accordance with public health guidelines. Registration is now open. We will contact you in the next 2 weeks to confirm the camp and arrange payment - choose the 'pay offline' option when registering. There is no need to pay until programs resume. Fees will be pro-rated if appropriate. See our website for more information and updates as they happen. www.vypc.ca.

VYPC has storage space for personal boats (oc1s, surfski, stand up) on the harbour. There are no time restrictions that other facilities on the gorge may have so it is easy to get out on the water! We self regulate one person on the dock at a time maintaining 2 meters minimum distance.

Our friends at Ocean River need our help - please spread the word. Support a portage route around Tillicum Narrows. Esquimalt Council is considering this exciting project and every paddler in Victoria would benefit, by making this tidal rapid much safer and accessible for everyone. Our VYPC boys did great at Another Dam Race in Parker Dam, California (on the border with Arizona). They were 3rd in their category, with a time of 1:33:20. Tons of thanks to Marianne & Paul Pilon, who organized this trip, coach Patrick Linden, members of the Ocean River Paddling Club who shared this adventure with us, and to the parent chaperones. Well done all! Lots of smiles!
