With so much growth and looking to achieve platinum blonde, we had to use 2 different formulas and 2 applications to make sure we weren't left with a yellow band and white roots. Using 2 different formulas and applying away from the root first allows that mid growth lift before applying to the roots right on the scalp (the scalp is our heat source with global bleach and hair always lifts the fastest right at the scalp) so if we had applied the new growth with one formula here...'s what would have happened: the roots would be as light as they could have lifted and gradually getting more yellow before coming to the previously lightened hair.
