Victoria United Church Advent lll White Gift Sunday December 13, 2020

Victoria United Church would like for you to join us in worship for our Advent 3 service on Sunday, December 13 @ 11am. This is also White Gift Sunday. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, this year we are asking that you place your monetary gift in a white envelope, marked WHITE GIFT OFFERING and place it in the collection plate. All donations will be forwarded to the Food Bank. The service will be lead by Rev. Davis joined by our Praise Band. Please wear a mask if attending and all safety precautions will be in place.

We are planning to clean and sanitize our church on Wednesday, Sept 30/20 @ 10 am. Please bring some cloths, a bucket and extender mop if possible. Gloves and cleaning supplies will be provided. We would love to see as many volunteers as possible. Many hands make light work. Thank you in advance tor your support.

October 11, 2020 has been set for a tentative date for the reopening of our church. A list of government rules & regulations will be posted as opening time gets closer. We will also need volunteers to help with the initial cleaning & santizing of the building and maintenance will then be done weekly by our janitor. All help will be greatly appreciated. A date will also be posted for this.

Passed suddenly but peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Thursday, September 17, 2020, David Freema...n Dave Parsons of Victoria, age 67 years. Predeceased by daughter: Tammy; parents: Freeman and Ethel; special uncle: Harold Parsons; mother-in-law: Violet Reynolds; brother-in-law: Warren Reynolds; sister-in-law: Carol Parsons. Leaving to mourn, wife: Debbie; one son: Bradley (Tamara), Victoria; two precious grandchildren, whom he loved dearly: Brianna and Noah; two brothers: Melvin and Harold (Pamela), both of Victoria; special aunt: Winnie Parsons, Victoria; two special cousins: Colleen Parsons, Victoria and Dana Kelloway, Salmon Cove; father-in-law: Sandy Reynolds, Luxury Estates, Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Rhoda (Henry) Greene, Moncton, NB and Christine (David) Slade, Carbonear; brothers-in-law: Everett Reynolds (Bessie), Victoria and Ivan (Cavelle) Reynolds, Salmon Cove; also a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private visitation will take place at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. Funeral service from Noel's Memorial Chapel, Carbonear, by invitation only. Update: Due to the sudden passing of our friend, Dave Parsons, a dedicated member of our church, our choir and the Mens Fellowship Group, Sunday online worship service has been cancelled. We send our sincere condolences to his wife, Debbie and his family. Dave was always there to lend a hand for anything. He will be greatly missed by our church and the entire community. Victoria United Church is once again having an online Sunday service on September 20 @ 11am. This weeks service will be lead by Wayne and the Mens Fellowship. June 28/20 This beautiful painting, on behalf of the congregation of Victoria United, was presented to Rev Davis at this mornings worship service. He taught and was vice principal at this old school before they moved to Persalvic. What an appropriate gift and memory for him. Thank you for your leadership to our church.
