*HOLIDAY EATS* Comfort food edition Ok guys its slow cooker/crockpot season and this is a new fave of mine (NOT HEALTHY but healthy for the mind) There is nothing better than a warming soup this winter season but this creamy tort soup will keep you satisfied this holiday season. ... The importance of Vitamin for flu season and cvid19 Back in January when I was in Costa Rica for 2 weeks, I came back in February (engaged) and did a thorough blood test and even after being in the sun non stop, my vitamin D levels were already VERY LOW. I was shocked, but then was told that darker skin people have a harder time absorbing the rays than lighter skin people. ... Therefore, if you are coloured, then it is most likely that you are deficient in vitamin D; also most Quebecers are. What to do: -Get midday sun for atleast 15mins per day -Take a vitamin D supplement daily (a spray or capsules) -Have a lot of almonds, fish, calcium rich foods, leafy greens for vitamin D but it is not enough. Warning*** Taking sunlight by a window is not efficient.
