This is a solar/fuel-cell/wind hybrid surveillance trailer. The primary source of power is the solar system and the wind generator helps to keep the batteries topped up. But if both the sun and wind are not available, then the fuel-cell takes over. The nice thing about wind, is that sometimes it generates power even in the middle of the night.

The idea behind acquiring our first 8.5'x20' tool trailer was to have more elbow room, but then came the larger projects. I'm not complaining though, because I still have vivid memories of working out of the back of an old rusted out Durango when I started close to fifteen years ago. All is well!

Well sometimes you just need a rock solid fence post where there ain't none. This contraption allows us to mount our cameras and warning system in pretty well any big yard without a whole bunch of fuss.

Our new custom-fabricated fence stations and stabilizer kits. This arrangement allows our thermal cameras to have both exterior and interior long-range detection zones along the fence line. The main stabilizer bar is connected to a base with 320 lbs of ballast which sure helps on windy days.

Units 20 & 21 both getting refurbished after some out-of-province work for the past year plus, and just in the nick of time, as there is already talk of these two being re-deployed to yet another out-of-province year-long term. In addition to new "skin" for the solar module frame, both trailers are also having the latest electronics and thermal cameras installed.

Rodents and thieves BEWARE! There are two raptors and one old crazy security guy that live on this property. It really would be best if you go play elsewhere.

Would-be thieves detected and then quickly repelled with the help of a Mobotix D15 camera equipped with an audio warning system after cutting a gate padlock and letting themselves into a fenced-in yard. They had a sudden change of heart and left quicker than they arrived. Total time in the yard was about ten seconds, and the total damage and losses was one padlock. This site had experienced numerous forced entries and losses prior to the system being installed. Final score: 1-0 for the client.

The beauty of the Xtralis Adpro long-range wireless outdoor motion sensors is that they can be mounted to just about anything solid. This particular sensor is covering an access road to a site and will detect activity at up to 150m. The sensor then sends a radio signal over to the nearest camera up to several hundred meters away, and the camera alerts our monitoring staff via the Internet. No cabling, no fuss, just really good detection capabilities.

Clip showing a suspicious vehicle with two male subjects being encouraged to leave a construction site with a history of thefts and break-ins. The subjects were observed up to no-good on another camera and were given a couple of audio warnings at which point they abandoned their original plans and left the site promptly. We specialize in protecting remote and off-grid sites with a special emphasis on deterring crime in real time, as opposed to merely recording the criminal acts.

Mobotix D15 dual cameras and audio warning system installed just below the light-pole knuckle so as to minimize false alerts caused by any swaying in high winds. At this height of about 5m, the camera will also avoid much of the flying insect traffic attracted by the lights above. The wireless bridge on the other hand is not affected by either insects or swaying in the wind, so it was mounted at the top of the pole and saved a whole lot of trenching and associated costs.

Outdoor long-range wireless motion sensor. This particular motion sensor can detect human activity at up to 150m in zero-light. They are perfectly suited for protecting large perimeters and have a built-in transmitter that will send signals to a receiver up to several hundred meters away. When combined with our high resolution cameras and loudspeakers, the odds are now turned unfavourably against the criminal. We specialize in protecting remote and off-grid industrial sites, with a special emphasis on disrupting and discouraging criminals in real time, as opposed to merely recording their acts.

One more day of work, and this enhanced solar-powered surveillance platform will be ready for testing and then long-term deployment to an industrial site. Some improvements over the original towers are: solar modules are higher off the ground, all equipment is mounted to an "elevator" allowing for all adjustments to be made at ground level and therefore negating the need for a man-lift and spotter or any sort of unsafe ladder work, lockable doors on the tower itself, as well... as the electrical cabinet and the battery compartment to further deter or slow down any intruders, a raised floor to facilitate the installation of a containment tub in the highly unlikely event of a battery leak. The towers will be equipped with our usual suite of thermal cameras, high-definition regular-light cameras, long-range passive infrared sensors, powerful PTZ camera and an audio warning system. Unit 023 helping to protect a remote off-grid site in NW Alberta. This particular solar-powered surveillance trailer has five solar modules mounted side to side and the sixth module is mounted on the roof and can be raised or lowered using a pair of electric actuators. Thought that the high trees could be an issue limiting the amount of solar energy harvested, but the system is performing flawlessly.

Large off-grid industrial yard protected with the help of some solar-powered fixed and mobile surveillance platforms inter-linked to each other. We use thermal cameras and other long-range motion sensors that will detect human activity at several hundred meters away in zero light, and will then dispatch a nearby guard service and/or interact with the visitors over a loudspeaker system in real-time as required.
