Hope everyone had a safe and fulfilled holidays. We here are all doing well, still making plans of changes that will come for the new year. So In our down time we enjoy sledding and ice fishing and yes they are huge. Happy New Year cheers to you all

Well having to drive out of town yesterday very early, this is what we seen. Thought we would let our hunters and our followers know winter is really trying hard to let us know she is on her way sooner than we would like brrrrrr Yes this was October 19, 2020 small lakes starting to freeze already these pics are up the hwy 105, could only imagine what's up north.

UPDATE: Thank you all for your kind words and prayers for rain, it’s working! Thank you to all the people who have stepped forward including the camp owners along the highway and residents of Ear Falls who have opened their doors with cooking and feeding us evacuees from the Red Lake community. The word thank is not a big enough word to describe our gratitude.

Hi everyone, if you haven’t heard already, our little town of Red Lake is under the threat of a forest fire. On Monday night, the whole community was ordered to evacuate as soon as possible. So many drove out while they could. The scare was that the fire was moving east as the wind was blowing from the west and going to compromise Hwy 105, then the only way out was by air. Things happened so fast but we are safe. Many local volunteers are staying to help fight the fires to prevent it from coming to town. The pictures below are not taken by us but by other locals. I thought I would share a few, as we have been getting private messages of concerns.

Vito and Shelly we miss you everyday. As you both know we speak of you guys often and we remember the sound of your laughter and your smiles and the beautiful people you are.

With having to deal with covid and the borders closed, things are just not the same around here as we are missing the hustle and bustle with the guests coming in and out. We like to thank each and everyone of you. Your patients have been not overseen and we are trying to accommodate our guests with later dates. Dean and Donna have been flying out to a few of the outpost to inspect the cabins from our long winter, we are making notes of what needs to be done this year. So wi...th the down time we are taking care of a few things and getting some stuff done. Dean has decided to start working from the furthest outpost out at Rheaume and work his way out. He has started by ripping off the railings and making new ones, levelling out the cabin and has moved the solar system off the deck, we have also started adding some solar lighting for your walk ways still so much to do but we will get there.
