connectivity the state or extent of being connected or interconnected.
Well after the wonderful response to my last image, not sure I dare post anything else but here's one from the same beautiful location but stepping back from the shoreline. The sun came out in the afternoon and I went in search of some backlit larch trees. These beauties were just turning and I grabbed a couple of hand held bracketed shots to make sure I had the dynamic range covered. No need to worry as the Z7 took care of it without any issues.
I've been on a couple of trips recently hence my lack of activity here! This one was into the BC back country and despite some smoke in the atmosphere, it helped create some beautiful soft light.

I love all the seasons but there is just something about Winter that I can't explain...it may be because I am from the UK and winters just don't look like this there! I am excited that despite Covid, we are still able to run our Winter Magic Workshop in the Canadian Rockies this January 10-14 2021. We have a few spots remaining: Rooms are single occupancy but there is a discounted rate for friends or family travelling together and able to share a room. Join Dani Lefrancois P...hotography and I as we explore the winter wonderland of the Canadian Rockies! Here's a link for more info: https://www.viktoriahaackphotography.ca/Workshops See more
A favourite place. I enjoyed spending a quiet afternoon here recently with just the sound of a local waterfall.
Up in the sky for this fun engagement shoot with Audrey & Ali, courtesy of Glacier Helicopters in Revelstoke. If you'd like to see more from this shoot, check out my blog: https://www.viktoriahaackphotography.ca/Blog-Po/Audrey-Ali-
Thanks to Laura for stepping in and modelling for this shot at the moment that some beautiful rays of light hit the mountains. I have shots of her that aren't long exposures that I could have used but I loved how the fabric looked like tulle as the long expo captured it moving in the wind.
Erin and I found ourselves in an ice cave the other day!! This wasn't a space I wanted to be in for too long: Despite its obvious beauty, I was conscious of the constant pouring water I could hear coming off the walls and the evidence around it of collapse. I do wish I could have spent more time in there but safety first!
Just after sunrise a storm front rolled in over the mountain, I loved playing around with compositions to try to capture it!
Wind and waves on this Rockies shoreline. I experimented with shutter speeds and definitely preferred a little movement in the water rather than just a dull, flat surface which didn't feel like it captured the energy of the location. I got pretty wet shooting this one as I tried to time the splashing of the water, some of those waves went right over me!! :P
Laura had some problems with her camera battery whilst we were in the Rockies recently....well if you're not shooting then looks like you're modelling!! :P She ended up looking like a Disney Princess on this rocky shoreline.
A different perspective for this mountain. I enjoy how it looks so different from this angle than the more usually photographed position. A storm front was lit by the early morning sun as it moved across the sky. I juggled my tripod into a tree to get this shot so that I could use the foliage as a foreground. What a beautiful, still morning!
Let sleeping dogs lie. My boy Jack, snoozing in the cool undergrowth whilst van camping recently. He couldn't look more peaceful and happy!
Finding some peace and quiet at this beautiful and usually busy spot!
A stop in this beautiful forest with Erin
A recent trip into the mountains and I was happy to capture this unscripted moment between Dani Lefrancois Photography and her pup Tuzo. This shot captures a lot of elements that say Dani to me; her love for Tuzo and their special bond, her love for photography and her love for the mountains!
