November is Diabetes awareness month! Diabetes is a metabolic condition that causes high blood sugars. These high blood sugars can have a huge impact on the way we see, and even lead to bleeding and scarring in the back of the eye. This shows how our technology (OCT) can detect undiagnosed conditions! Don’t forget to schedule your annual eye exam to monitor for such systemic conditions! #diabeticretinopathy #retina #oculardisease #ocularhealth #eyes #eyeexam #yeg #shpk #yeghealth #shpkhealth #yeglocal #shpklocal #yegmoms #shpkmoms #yegfamily #shpkfamily #diabetes #diabetesawarenessmonth

Wash your hands with soap and water before handling contact lenses. Place 1 lens in the palm of your hand, add a generous amount of solution, and gently rub with your finger for about 10 seconds in order to remove any buildup on the lens. Then, rinse the lens with solution. Repeat with the 2nd lens and ta-da! They’re ready to wear!
