I don’t normally post a top 20 on a Sunday, I usually take the day off But I got such great items in yesterday from one of my favourite sellers that I am just too excited to wait until tomorrow. Plus I took yesterday off LOL not intentionally but I did. So there will be a top 20 coming later this evening. Here is just one of the MANY New with tags items I will be sharing tonight.

Let's Talk... Sadly I have no chance to list a top 20 today, I have been busy all day and I am teaching tonight. But I want to take a few minutes to "talk" about a couple of things and update you on some stuff, and ask for your feedback :-). 1. Baby clothes. They just do not sell. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Is it the pricing? Am I too expensive, wrong items, not enough selection, or do I not have the audience...? Maybe you are all looking for older kids' st...uff. Should I drop baby stuff all together? I never found it a great seller at my previous store, and I always assumed it was because we get gifted so much when our babies are young that we just don't need any more, so maybe I should just focus on age 2+...Your thoughts would be appreciated!! 2. "Tipping". Ugh I hate this word but I can't change it so I am stuck with it. This is an ENTIRELY optional way for you to include an extra dollar or two if you are taking advantage of the free delivery service. PLEASE don't think you have to, and please don't be offended by this. Here is the Math...(feel free to skip over if you are not a math person, I need to see figures to understand lol), I drive an average of 4.96 km per delivery. Allowing a very frugal 50c per km it is costing me $2.48 on average to deliver, not including my time. On a $15 order, I typically make around $8.25 profit, so again not including my time we are now down to under $6 for that order, including the time it took me to steam, photograph, list, pack, and drive that order to you. I LOVE what I do, but I have to make sure it is feasible or I won't be able to sustain it. So... long story short, by adding in a dollar or two toward my gas you are making the deliveries possible. Otherwise, I may have to switch to pick up's only which I fear would make it harder for a lot of people to shop. Thank you so much to those who have already done this. It makes a difference. PLEASE do not feel you have to do this every time. Or indeed ever if it is not possible. Optional is the key word here. Once in a while would be great. It helps, every little helps. When the business grows and gets busier and I am doing more deliveries with each journey, those averages will look better. I am also considering using pick up points.... that was my intention in the beginning, but with COVID etc I want to keep contacts as limited as possible right now. Today's Top 28!! I am finally starting to feel Christmassy lol and all these beautiful clothes are helping with that. It is another AWESOME day at Village Green Boutique, just take a look at the amazing things I have to offer you today. I couldn’t decide which to start with but after much debate, I went with this stunning Hatley Fleece Zip Up jacket. It is a size 4, and very much gender-neutral. In as new condition, if you have friends that you know are ok with not entirely... new, you could totally gift this. It appears new, just no tags. These retail for $55 this one is a steal at $18. My second favourite item today is this fabulous red sparkly dress in a size 16. With some flowy sheer fabric, sequins and a satin tie at the back, your girl will be the best dressed at your Christmas (small) celebration this year. We have some more of the wonderful Thermals from Hot Chilly’s today, 2 pairs of thermal pants both size 10 in camo designs. I couldn’t believe how expensive these are to buy new, these are both in excellent condition so save yourself a LOT and scoop these up for sledding or skiing. While we are looking at the boys' stuff. We also have Star wars PJs, Minecraft PJs (although I argue that both of those are also for girls, but I have to have some way of sorting things I suppose). And some great comfy jeans for an older boy. For my girls, don’t miss that fabulous purple sweater. It’s a size 10. The ROOTS pants (13/14) will likely sell fast so if you have been looking for some of those don’t wait there are some nice shirts for 7, 8, and 10 girls today, and onesie Christmas PJs also in a size 10. Lots of amazing clothes being picked up by the Compassion Society today. I appreciate so much that most of you donate the leftovers to them. In most cases there is nothing wrong with the clothing, possibly the odd small mark or maybe just the season is off or I am already full in that particular section. These clothes will go straight to people that can really use them. Times are hard for many right now. It is my privilege to be able to help you donate.

Today's Top Thirty (four)... Lol, I don't know why such a random number, I was aiming for thirty and got carried away. So today we picked up a LOT of boys clothes. I have started adding them but it will take several days. Today I added a lot of size 7, and a few 12 - 14 - 16 years too. For girls, a lot of size 10 from Justice today and a fab pair of Size 10 Riding Pants - they are the pinkest riding pants ever. Also, I got a big batch of baby stuff.... mostly GroBags and Aden... & Anais sleep sacks, from 0 - 36 months. Again, I did one today but many more to come. Like maybe 10 or so. I listed a Colombia infant snow suit today... I have some more infant fleece bundlers from Hatley and North Face to come soon. My favourite piece today is a BRAND NEW with tags Unicorn Dress from Trish Scully. It is a size 3T. I have a few more similar amazing dresses to list soon. I think it should be mentioned how staggeringly patient my family are. We live in a very small bungalow and this is currently my dining room table. I picked up over 500 pieces of amazing clothes today including a lot of great boy stuff. There was nowhere else to sort it to except right here, and so far no one has complained

I feel my customers understand me so well :-). I am going through many many many bags today that I have picked up over the last couple of days. I just pulled out this T-shirt in a size 10. For those of you that don’t know me so well yet, I am British although we have British and Canadian passports now. and my daughter is nine. We moved here when my daughter was a baby but both my children were born in Britain. I could not love this shirt more :-).

Today's Top THIRTY!! I am on a roll again :-) Today we have quite a few really nice pairs of shoes, including some toddlers (size 8.5 and 9) and some bigger kids (11, 1, 2).. all boys today but I do have a couple of girls pairs to add another day.... Then... moving to clothes. The best item of the day is probably the small Jersey Lined Windbuster from Gap, currently available at Gap for $60, or right here for $12.50 (barely used). Also lots of PYJAMAS or PAJAMAS or PJS for a 4 year old girl... so many ways to spell that word lol.... and some more awesome shirts for 6+ girls. Oh and I mustn't forget a beautiful plaid dress from Mayoral. It is not a brand we know very well here but it is a higher class Spanish line and the dress is gorgeous!! (size 5 - 6 years). I am hoping one that fits her is going to show up before then. Also today some more PJs, long sleeve T's and character shirts for boys age 8 - 10 years. I am still working on the top 20 for today.. its a good one lol. I just have to share this as it makes me laugh every day. When I log into the home page of my online store, I see this "live" view which tells me how many people are currently browsing my store, and where in the world they are. Obviously, they are almost always in Canada. I see a little white dot somewhere around Toronto (it is not very specific lol). What makes me laugh is the "Your Location" pin. Since I opened the store, it has floated off the West coast of Africa. For some reason, Shopify (my website's host) is convinced I am operating The Village Green from a tiny island in the Atlantic Ocean.. or maybe a boat? It makes me smile every day. Today's Top Twenty!! This is what you would call "eclectic" . Starting today with a Wonder Woman costume. The costume comes with pants, a shirt, a belt and 2 arm bands (only one appears in the photo because my amazing background removal software randomly removed one but not the other lol - I promise you will get two!). Size small I estimate it will fit age 5 - 7 years. ... Next we have some really nice Gap jeans for age 14. These are super trendy, and were approved by my 14 year old but unfortunately just a little too small for him. Of course they have the adjustable waist, and they are a nice soft denim. I apologise for adding some Christmas sweaters today ... what can I tell you lol.. they were in the bin so I figured we would make a start on them. I also have some great toddler mittens. Lots more onesie PJs today. Kids love these and they are perfect for winter movie nights. My favourite today might be the Peppa Pig one, or possibly the cat emoji one. I think I need one of these for me this year! Oh... I almost forgot to mention the most amazing sweater from Justice. It is a size 12 years but I totally tried it on lol. Way too small (no big surprise there then!). It is so stylish!! Your pre-teens will love it. And finally... some winter horse riding boots. They are well loved but still waterproof and so much warmer than regular riding boots. Size 1 - 2 or approx. age 8 - 9 years depending on the child.
