Here are the winners of the Christmas lighting contest last night! There were so many wonderful displays that our judges had a very difficult time making their decisions. Please take a drive around our community and see what our friends and neighbors have created. Thank you to our judges who came from Carstairs. Merry Christmas!

PLEASE NOTE: The skating rink is OPEN again. - Limit of 10 people on the ice at a time. - 2 hour max skate time for each skater to ensure all those who want to use the rink are able to. - Please be cautious of bare spots and stay safe.... For your safety, if the lights are not on in the evenings, please stay off the ice.

Acme Angels have arranged the first ever Acme Christmas Parade! The parade will be taking place on Saturday, December 12, 2020 starting at 6:00 pm. Please respect the parade route and avoid traveling on these roads at this time. Please find the parade route in the attached photos. ... The Acme Angels have tried their best to plan the route so that everyone can watch from in front/inside their homes, however there are a few spots that they cannot make that happen as there is not enough room for the larger floats to turn around. (Heritage Estates, North end of Clarke Street, North end of Prospect Avenue, South end of Walsh Avenue and a few houses on Clarke Street that are between Davis Street and Fowler Street.) Residents who live in those area and would still like to see the parade may come to the closest street on the map and watch from the sidewalk! Remember to social distance and remain in your household groups please. Due to covid, there will be no candy tossed from the vehicles. Please respect all social distancing requirements and stay safe! We look forward to a fun evening!

ANIMAL LICENSING NOTE: Animal License notices were sent out yesterday, December 1st. Please note, to pay online use will need to use the same payee as you do for your utility/tax bills (Village of Acme OR Acme, Village of). For dogs, use account number 11111. For cats, use account number 22222. Sorry this was not made clear in the letter. Animal Licenses are due by January 31, 2021.

The Acme Skating Rink is now open. The changeroom and washrooms are not open due to COVID restrictions.

The Acme Food Bank is accepting applications for Christmas Hampers. Please call Carol at 403-620-0176 by Friday, December 11th.
