Sidewalk Snow Cleaning - Request for Proposal The Village of Canwood is searching for a person(s) to clear snow on the sidewalks around the Canwood Elk’s Community Hall. This individual would be responsible for shoveling snow on the sidewalks that access all the entrances to hall, Seniors room, bowling alley, back doors and along the street access on a continual basis starting in January 2021. Proposals at minimum should include: *Expected rate (flat, hourly or combination of both); *Inspection plan to determine the need for snow removal; and *Payment Terms. Please note a change in times: Community members, please be advise of the change starting Monday, March 23,2020 at the Canwood Co-operative Clinic in Canwood: Due to COVID-19 the Canwood Co-operative Health Centre has decided to support the community of Canwood and surrounding areas by extending our hours. The clinic will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 4:30 with Nurse Practitioner coverage from 9:30 to 3:30 on those days. We will book patients for phone visits... with the Nurse Practitioner whenever possible. Patients that need to be seen will be by appointments only. No complete check ups will be booked at this time. If you have symptoms of cough, fever or shortness of breath, call the Healthline at 811. Do not come into the clinic. To book an appointment or phone appointment call the Canwood Co-operative Health Centre at 306-468-2400.

Residents, with more people potentially using different methods of disinfection, please be reminded that ALL wipes, including baby wipes, napkins, paper towels and tissues could put tremendous stress on the pumps at the lift station (wastewater plant)! Please dispose of these items in your household garbage and NOT flush them down toilets. Thank you

Dawn Robins from the Prince Albert Bernice Sayese Centre will be in attendance to speak on the Str8 Up Chapter as part of a Provincial gang exit strategy. Also in attendance will be MP Randy Hoback, MP Gary Vidal, MLA Nadine Wilson and Cam Scott from the Crown Prosecutor Office to discuss crime reduction and what we can do to help change our laws.
