Calendula is one of my favorite herbs! It's a wonderful vulnerary herb, that is a skin loving, wound healing, protecting and soothing herb. I use it in my Nourishing Body Butter, lip balms, and Happy Boo Boo salve. It's a wonderful herb to have on hand for most skin issues, even internally like with canker sores or irritated gastric tissues. In gardens it is used as a pest deterrent. Its bright, cheerful yellow blossoms add a splash of happiness to my veggie garden. Calendu...la earns its nickname of 'Sunshine Herb's aptly. Herbal Shrubs are a type of drinking vinegar made from fruit, herbs, apple cider vinegar and sweetener (we use honey). It's super easy to make and can be used as a digestive (in a little warm water), mixed with sparkling water, in a cocktail, or even as a vinaigrette. In this video we make a strawberry mint, and a cherry Juniper & pepper shrub.
