Vancouver Island Mini-Build

Are you one of the growing number of people that are attracted to the concept of Tiny Homes on Wheels but can't really see yourself living full-time in one? How about having one customized to become a camping option? I'm excited to introduce a new category within V.I. Mini-Build! My "Camping Caravans" can best be described as Tiny Homes meet "Glamping", and offer all the comforts of home (excl laundry) in a much sturdier, roomier, brighter, quieter, and secure package than conventional RV's. So far, I have preliminary designs for 12', 16', and 18' versions which I've posted below for you to check out. :) Contact me if you have any questions!

It's been a while! I just wanted to extend another big "thank you" to all those who have liked my page! I've been very busy working on a line of "Modern Caravans" (Tiny Homes on wheels) to offer alongside my garden suites, offices and studio spaces. Should be rolling those out (pun intended!) by early fall, so stay tuned!

Did some doodling today... the result is a new addition to my portfolio of V.I.Mini-Build designs: a low-profile, 480 sq. ft, 1 BD urban garden suite. Best situated west facing, the south stucco wall would be ideal for growing heat-loving veggies and fruit. It boasts 9' ceilings throughout, except for the bathroom and hallway which are the standard 8' hgt. There's stacking laundry, two large storage closets, as well as a "step-in" closet in the bedroom. The bedroom can comf...ortable accomodate a double bed and two nightstands, a bureau and a desk. There's a full kitchen with tons of storage, and did I mention there's room for a 36" X 60" extra deep soaker tub/shower in the bathroom? The 'flat' roof would be ideal for solar panels if one wanted to go more "green", and the lower area of roof at the back of the cottage could be used as a "living roof" if desired. This garden suite or vacation cottage is perfect for a single occupant, but a couple could be happy too. At 20' by 24' it is roughly the footprint of a double garage, and is under 12' in overall height. Floor plan available upon request. Sue

Thought I'd post a short "teaser", showing a basic rotational viewing of my 132 Sq.ft. single-occupancy (student rental anyone?) Garden suite. This cutie boasts a 4-5 pce kitchenette, TV, Electric fireplace w. heater, custom couch / dinette / bed unit, 3 pce bath, storage closet, vaulted ceiling, large windows, extra storage above the bathroom, and a covered entrance. A modifacation to the front entrance "hall" area is available that would accomodate a stacking laundry set, for added value. (Video rendering courtesy of Katie McIlveen.)
