I thought it might be fun to turn the clock back on the @dembones challenge. Everything here is from the early 1900s, except for the gloves and toque. That said, goalies wore player gloves similar to this however the cuff was much longer, filled with protective ribs. This model of skates may or may not have been used by a goalie and the cricket pads may not have been used on ice.
Saturday- This morning I thought it might be fun to turn the clock back on Dustins 'Dembones' challenge. Everything here is from the early 1900s, except for the gloves and toque. That said, goalies wore player gloves similar to this however the cuff was much longer, filled with protective ribs. This model of skates may or may not have been used by a goalie and the cricket pads may not have been used on ice. I hope its 'challenge' worthy.

#TBT Circa 2013. A photo I took of my niece on her backyard pond in Spencerville, Ontario . She has become quite the amazing figure skater. This weekend the temperatures will be dropping, finally, to where they should be. Enjoy your outdoor ice and your families this weekend.
The only Heaton blocker I own. I would love to find a Wave in my right hand (full right). Although the palm is destroyed, the balance of the blocker board is impeccable. I remember we used to sample the balance of several blockers at Itech and Bauer. It always came down to personal preference.
This is an original Fibrosport mask. I received it approximately 10 years ago on a trade. The gentleman who own it played his junior hockey career with it. He was an extremely kind man who wanted to pass it along to me, especially knowing how much I would appreciate it...and I do very much. As with every piece I receive, I leave it in the state that I received it - zero modifications. This is my favourite piece that I own. What would yours be?... Photo: Nikon D3000 See more
