Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day! If you haven’t yet watched it, we encourage our fellow artists to watch the Ndo Mshkawgaabwimi: We Are All Standing Strong discussion from yesterday (if you missed it you can watch over at @stratfest YouTube channel). Thank you to all those that shared their experiences and knowledge. We at Violence in Motion are committed to continuing to learn how to be better co-workers, artists, fight directors, teachers, family members and nei...ghbours. Violence in Motion mostly operates in Tkaronto, but no matter where we are working across Canada and Turtle Island, we acknowledge the stolen land we live and work on, and commit to working against racism and building a better future. Right now we all need to do a different kind of fight. Due to the current pandemic we have decided to cancel our broadsword class on March 26. We will keep you updated as to any other upcoming class cancelations, based on the government advice during this unprecedented situation. ... Any classes left on this semester’s pass will be valid for the summer semester. Can’t wait to see you all healthy and happy once again. Fight on, friends.
