VIRTUAL Engineers is proud to have completed a 50,000 square foot industrial building in the City of Brampton for one of Canada’s largest private industrial companies. We focus on exceptional results, and having all of our cross-discipline resources in-house gives us a rare advantage in this field. Our team of structural, electrical, mechanical and building engineers worked together to design a large addition for our client’s facility which helped them with their production e...xpansion plans! VIRTUAL’s team overcame the challenges of reducing the impact on productivity at the client-site while major construction was underway, while expediting completion of the building expansion in a safe and cost-effective manner. We additionally provided permitting administration, inspections, general reviews and construction support throughout the process, and made sure to maintain the high visual and design standards for industrial buildings that the Regional Municipality of Peel requires in this area.

Update regarding a 9.75 Megawatt Biomass Waste To Energy Power Plant in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield! VIRTUAL Engineers Inc is working with JPB Industries and KMW Energy to build a 9.75 megawatt cogeneration plant fueled by residual forest biomass. The ministry of Sustainable Development, Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change has approved a combustion and filtration system that will allow the plant to produce electricity from post-consumer wood including utility pole...s, railway sleepers and other construction/demolition treated woods that would otherwise be sent to a landfill and be non-recyclable. The additional steam not used to produce electricity by the CHP process will be sold and piped to neighboring businesses, including CEZinc - the largest primary zinc processing facility in eastern North America. This upgrade will allow JPB Industries to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by several thousand tonnes and plans to be operational within 18-21 months. This is a great step in the right direction towards promoting energy-efficiency and waste-reduction in the Canadian Industrial landscape. #wastetoenergy #biomass #CHP #sustainability

VIRTUAL Engineers recently participated in the Canadian Cleantech Business Mission in Jamaica and The Bahamas hosted by the Canadian Trade Commission Services. The Caribbean companies were incredibly welcoming to our delegates, and VIRTUAL was eager to present innovative Canadian solutions to the energy problems that the islands are currently experiencing. There are growing international efforts to reduce negative impacts and seize opportunities by integrating climate change ...responsive technologies to help prevent climate change and prepare organizations to deal with it in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies are integral to implement, now more than ever before, given the terrible devastation wrought against the Bahamas by Hurricane Dorian. VIRTUAL Engineers, and the Canadian Cleantech Business Mission are doing their part to mitigate the effects of climate change and to promote cleaner energies. See more
