Outsourcing isn't just for your business! It takes a lot to run a household no matter how many or how few live there. Look at what you do on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis at home. Are there tasks you can outsource to spend more time enjoying your family, hobbies, or getting more work done? Start with outsourcing your least favourite task even once per month and you'll feel more comfortable outsourcing even more tasks. To start try ordering your groceries online, using meal kit delivery services, or using a house cleaning service.

We LOVE Lil' Orchard Foods! If you're tight on time it's perfectly portioned homemade baby food that you don't have to make yourself. It's a great way to introduce a variety of healthy fruits and veggies when you're introducing solids. Or a great way to sneak in fruits and veggies for those picky eaters. We keep 6-7 varieties of the 10-packs in the freezer for our picky eater. They have lots of feeding accessories on sale right now too! Use code ALIX10 for 10% off your order. http://lilorchard.ca

Growing your business or online team isn't always easy. In order to continue to learn and grow you have to do the hard things. The most common strategies I see for tackling those items you don't want to do are: 1) Outsourcing (of course). 2) Tackling your least favourite task first. 3) Completing one easy task first to get momentum for your least favourite task. What is your daily strategy for tackling the hardest item on your to do list?

Happy international women’s day to all the fabulous women I am so lucky to have in my life! Tonight seems like the perfect time to talk about women’s intuition and will tie in with why I haven’t posted in so long. In the spring of 2017 (holy crap that’s a long time ago) I felt like I needed to slow down a bit and this meant taking a break from social media while I focused only on the clients I was already working with. I replaced my social media time with exercising, getting... more sleep, and overall just taking care of myself. What I didn’t know at the time was that my body was telling me to slow down because I was pregnant. You haven’t and won’t see photos of baby as he is social media free. Most people who take a break from social media are either back on within 24 hours or take a break for much longer than they plan. I was in the second group. I was so fortunate to work with a select group of clients during my pregnancy and mat leave (haha entrepreneurs trying to take a break from working). After a well deserved mini vaca following baby’s first birthday, I’m excited to dive back into the online world and grow. Thank you Lace & Locket Photo - Airdrie Maternity & Newborn Photographer for taking these amazing maternity photos in the absolutely freezing cold blizzard back in February 2018. Ladies remember to listen to that gut feeling, you know you’re usually right.
