Virtual Squirrel is pleased to announce that Laura Kassama (Manager of Virtual Squirrel) has been appointed as Vice President of the International Virtual Assistants Association. This role is a two-year commitment, as the vice president becomes the new president in the following year. Laura is only the second Canadian to hold the vice president’s role for IVAA, since the organization’s inception in the 1990s. In response to the appointment, Laura gave the following comment:... It is a great honour for to have been recruited to the IVAA Board, and I look forward to making a positive impact on the organization and advocating for the virtual assistance industry. I am excited to support Emily Mazza, the new President of IVAA, to carry out her vision as president. Moving forward in the new role, Laura will be leading a committee focused on long term strategy for IVAA to better serve existing members and grow its membership. Laura aims to expand IVAA’s membership beyond the 16 countries currently represented through IVAA members, to include new, and emerging markets opening up to virtual assistants around the world.
