We have an impressive variety of places to enjoy good food and drink here in Nelson! Yum Son is one at the top of my list. They were one of the first restaurants in town to take our tea. The quality of the food and the tea are a perfect match.

The amount of amazing women entrepreneurs in the town of Nelson is remarkable. It's a town with no industry and full of creative small businesses. Ashley, the new owner of Railtown Cafe had always dreamed of owning her own cafe and she bought the cafe just before COVID-19 hit. An incredible challenge to say the least. I can't stress enough how important it is to support our local businesses here in the Kootenays.

Bai Hao Jingmai is my favorite Oolong tea. Perfect for the winter season with its dried apricot and floral notes.

Oolong (Anxi Guan Yin) Unlike green tea which is unfermented/not oxidized and black tea fully fermented/oxidized oolong is right in the middle. Its flavour has a vast array but most often includes sweet and floral notes.

Herbal tea is good medicine for the body and the soul.

Can tea make you happier? I think so! Something to look forward to everyday.
