Recently, the BC COVID-19 Medical Student Response Team, a group of students from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia started an initiative that aims to support BC physicians and public health authorities in their fight against COVID-19. So far they have covered topics on common myths, the importance of physical distancing, and ways to protect oneself from getting sick. This is an excellent and trustable source of information that ca...n answer questions relating to this pandemic and dispel any misconceptions about the virus. Feel free to share the link below with your family and friends! https://www.youtube.com/playlist Furthermore, the Medical Student Response Team has also led several other projects including the assistance of local health authorities with contact tracing and their call center, collecting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) donations, and managing a social media campaign for the Canadian Blood Services. More on these initiatives can be found on their website at https://covid19medstudents.ca/ and Twitter at https://twitter.com/COVID19_BCMeds. We wish you all good health!
This week, Vision For Life visited those residing in Oppenheimer Park to hand out sandwiches. We were able to give over a whopping 70 sandwiches! Thank you to our sponsors Terra Breads and Real Canadian Superstore for making this event possible and empowering youth to help others. We couldn’t have done it without you.
