Huge thank you to the White Rock Baptist Church and Ladies on the Go! And all the generous people who donated coats and clothes today, we ended up with two full vanloads. So many of the people we serve come to us with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. What a great way to start a new life, with new clothes and coats. Thank you!

Working hard on completing the (firesafe) gazebo at VQ-The Lake. Just in time for winter fireside chats. Our fireside chats have become the most popular of our group meetings. There is just something profound about staring at the flames and reflecting on your life.

VQ - the Lake chefs hard at work on Thanksgiving. We know they were a big part of feeling thankful this weekend. Every day in sobriety is a day to feel thankful but it sure helps when the belly is full of turkey and all the fixins! What an amazing spread, thanks guys!

Our recently retired Executive Director, Mr John Davidson is pictured here just to the left of the Speaker of the House Mr. Darryl Plecas. John was recently at the BC Legislature being honored for his life's work in law enforcement and recovery. We are so grateful to have worked with John over the years. VisionQuest would not have been the same without his dedication. We wish John love, peace and serenity in his retirement.

As most of you know VisionQuest Recovery is a Non-Profit Supportive Recovery Society. Most of our funding comes from gov't organizations such as the Ministry of Social Development and BC Housing. We believe that all people, no matter their income deserve a quality recovery experience. To that end, we rely heavily on donations to offset our costs. We take any and all donations, whether food, furniture, clothing, or good old cash. We provide charitable tax receipts to any donat...ion valued over $20. We hope that in the Christmas giving spirit we are all in right now that some of you will direct your generosity our way. Our clients who are working hard trying to change their lives for the better benefit, and the communities we live in all benefit as a result. If you have any items to donate please call our head office at 604-946-1841. You can donate at the link provided below or on our website, visionquestsociety.org. Or you can call and talk to a real person and have a chance to hear our gratitude. Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays, to everyone out there and a special nod to all those who dedicate their lives to helping people heal. paypal.com/ca/fundraiser/charity/3863620

We would like to say a very special thank you to Kevin Chan for surprising us with a birthday fundraiser he set up for VisionQuest. He created this fundraiser in honor of his mother Renee, who ran our very successful women's facility, Harte House, before passing away early this year. Renee touched and changed the lives of many women, clients and friends. She will always be in our hearts and forever a part of the VisionQuest family. Thank you Kevin for thinking of our society, our thoughts are with you and yours.
