Halloween...Full Moon...and Daylight Savings ends at 1am Sunday (set clocks back 1 hr). Good luck everyone!! And good news is it’s only 4 months until March when daylight savings begins again :)

This year Vista Dental was happy to participate in the Salvation Army Tree of Hope. For the past 3 weeks we’ve had a little tree up at the office with tags displaying an age and gender of a child. Staff and patients were encouraged to bring in an unwrapped gift that would match the tag they picked off of the tree. Needless to say the Christmas spirit struck the office and through the generosity of our amazing patients and staff, there are going to be some excited kids this Christmas!!

SNOW DAY!! As you can see, we got a LOT of snow this weekend. Staff were stuck in their driveways, roads were terrible, and even Dr Atwood walked to work in sometimes knee deep snow with his wife to contact patients to reschedule. Stay safe everyone, and we’ll see you soon!!

TEAM TUESDAY: Meet the Docs at Vista! On the left is our newest Dentist, Dr Brad Anderson. Dr Anderson grew up in Phoenix, Arizona - although his parents are both from Southern Alberta. He got his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He and his wife, Cassidy, and their two young children moved to Medicine Hat this past summer to join the Vista Dental team. We are not only excited to have another talented dentist on board, but... one who speaks fluent Spanish as well! On the right is Dr Mike Atwood. Dr Atwood is one of three partners who purchased Vista Dental in September of 2019, shortly after he and his wife Melissa and their 3 kids moved to Medicine Hat. Dr Atwood graduated from the University of Alberta School of Medicine and Dentistry in Edmonton, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. When not practicing dentistry, both dentists love spending time with their families and enjoy most sports, and outdoor activities. They look forward to meeting with you and helping you to achieve a healthier, and happier smile. O

Here’s a few really cool things you may not know about Vista Dental: 1. About 1 year ago, Vista Dental came under new ownership, and one of the owners (Dr Mike Atwood) moved last summer with his family to Medicine Hat and works here full-time. 2. We have a fully-operational Operating Room for treating children and adult patients under General or IV sedation with specially-trained dentists. 3. Dr Brad Anderson joined the Vista team earlier this summer (also moved here with his... family) and not only does he offer evening hours (until 7pm Tuesday-Thursday), but is also available Fridays from 7-3, and Saturdays from 9-2. Oh, and if you or someone you know feels more comfortable communicating en Español, Dr Anderson is fluent in Spanish too! 4. We are offering free teeth-whitening for life with each complete adult exam and cleaning. 5. We are open (and have been since May 19th after the mandatory COVID-19 closure), and able to offer full dental and hygiene services in a safe, clean environment. Vista Dental is excited to welcome Dr Brad Anderson to the team. Dr Anderson was born in Phoenix, Arizona to two Canadian parents, and is the second of four children. While completing his bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at Brigham Young University, Provo, he met his wife Cassidy. They now have two children, Willow and Jensen. Dr Anderson earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. ... Aside from dentistry, Dr Anderson enjoys spending time with his family in the good old Southern Alberta country fishing, quadding, boating, and finding beautiful trails to explore. Dr Anderson has a firm belief in treating every patient like they’re family and making sure they understand their treatment and have their questions answered every step of the way. He looks forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your smile goals!
