Vista Summer Games

Hello all, Unfortunately due to low numbers for registration for the Wing EatingContest, we had to cancel that component of the week. We are still collecting registration for all other sports/recreation activities that Radical Recreation Week has to offer up to Friday, August 11th @ 9:00pm!... As many people are already aware, the Vista Summer Games will not be taking place this summer-instead, they will be transitioning into a Vista Winter Games taki...ng place in 2018. But, I still wanted to put off a something for all of the kids/families in Clarenville and Area, similar to the Vista Summer Games with the addition of some other recreation activities which are non-sport related. Therefore I am pleased to invite everybody to attend Radical Recreation Week in Clarenville August 14th-17th! Radical Recreation Week will include 8 core activities which includes (separate divisions listed as well): Tchoukball-U10 (2007-2010) & U14 (2003-2006) Ultimate Frisbee-U10 (2007-2010) & U14 (2003-2006) Flag Football-U10(2007-2010) & U14 (2003-2006) Lacrosse-U10(2007-2010)& U14 (2003-2006) Kid’s Trivia Night-U10(2007-2010) & U14(2003-2006) Child/Parent Painting Session-All Ages & Special Olympians Welcome! IMPORTANT UPDATED REGARDING CLARENVILLE DAYS OFFICIAL OPENING Due to the uncertain weather forecast for this evening, Tuesday, July 4th, the Official Opening of... the 2017 Clarenville Days has been RE-SCHEDULED for tomorrow, Wednesday, July 5th at 11:30am. The Pet Show, Scavenger Hunt & Bike Parade will now take place on Thursday, July 6th. The weather has played havoc on some of our Canada Day and Clarenville Day activities this week, so we have decided to create an awesome Fun Day in the Park event on Thursday, July 6th from 12:00-4:00pm. 2017 CARA Summer Program Schedule: This is the weekly schedule for the CARA Summer Program beginning on July 10th and ending August 18th. Each activity will be... an hour and a half long with each activity occurring twice a week. Children will be dropped off at the location of the first activity that they are in. If the location changes before pick up at 12:00 Noon, staff will walk them to the next location. Children must be picked up between 12:00 Noon, & 1:00 pm. Since there is no supervision in the gymnasium, they're unable to stay in the schools. The outdoor adventure will be on Friday afternoons in 3-hour slot so we will have more time to explore the different trails in the area! If you are interested in a drop-in session for your child, there is a $10 fee per morning/afternoon session, or a $15 fee for the entire day! Staff will have the necessary sheets to fill out on site if this is something you'd be interested in!
