Congratulations to the Art Matters grantees with a special shout out to WPG artists and VA residency faculty Barak ade Soleil, Carolina Caceydo, Jibz Cameron and Shannon Finnegan. The Art Matters grant is dedicated to celebrate these artists' expression of values as Queer/Trans/Black/Indigenous/People of Color (QTBIPOC), incarcerated populations, undocumented folks, immunocompromised and/or disabled people, healers, activists, and ancestors.

The closing date for the 2020 Barbara Spohr Memorial Award is now extended to November 30th, 2020. Application is open to alumni working in photography, who are Canadian (citizens or permanent residents), and have participated in a Visual Arts program at Banff Centre in the last two years. The award of $6000 CAD in value, supports the recipient in completing a second residency in Visual Arts at Banff Centre to further develop their practice. Application is free.
