Change. We have all been presented with some massive changes as of late. Getting back to work for me was terrifying and exciting, for many reasons. I'm currently at home with a summer cold, which has allowed me to reflect on what step is the right one to take next, for me and my family. I have learned that I am not ready to return. I sustained a significant injury to my right hand in April, and in order to pick up my machines confidently again, I need to give all my attentio...n to recovery. I have extra work to do before I can come back. Tattooing is a strong and important part of my life; learning history, styles, traditions, craft. Doing a good job and responsibly caring for my clients is key to me. And after taking it slow for a week, testing my skills out, and my nerves, I have made the decision to take the next 6 weeks to focus on healing my hand. Doctors, physio, excercises, nutrition and disciplined dedication. Meditation and back to the drawing board for me. This choice has been a heavy one, and I'm so grateful that my work family at Jaded Body Arts support my needs and journey And I look forward to returning with a strong hand, mind, and spirit. I'm back to work today!

Painted my room for fresh colour, and ease of mopping the walls after each client. Purchased a sweet little locker for all my canisters of supplies, double barrier here! Protecting my face in a non foggy way, to keep my vision clear while tattooing you! Remember when we could talk and laugh and play safely while tattooing? Now it is going to be much like being alone, together. As quarantine has eased up, it seems to mean we get to do more work, deeper, together.... Less talking, less chance for transmission. I will have you facing away from me. And at this time, any tattoos around the neck, face, chest area will be postponed until post pandemic probably. I'm booking into mid August and parts of September, so if anyone would like to get started at reserving your spot, send me a message via here, or Jaded Body Arts, and we can get started on your creation. I've been taking my sweet ass time returning to work. A little anxiety and a lot of responsibility. Today I successfully ran through the new protocols, and feel confident in my abilities to protect you and me from contracting the covid 19. I am, at this moment, set to return to work Monday, with some pretty little butterflies on a wrist in red. I am very excited! Being isolated has had it's challenges, lessons and great opportunity for growth. One day at a time! I take th...is seriously, so as my family returns to work and daycare, I ask we all keep up on doing our part to keep eachother safe. I'm not in control of this virus, I'm in control of me. So, let's do our best to live in the moment, be aware and patient of our surroundings and one another. And, remember, I can make custom art, no contact deliver, in a multitude of media if you are not ready to venture out yet. Much respect!
