We tossed around some possiblities and then I came across a couple photos she shared. I asked where is this gorgeous spot and when she said it was her condo, I demanded we do it there!!!! Beautiful light, gorgeous colours, lots of texture. Eeeeek. It was heaven! At times we had to move a thing or two, hide something behind a door... but it worked perfectly. How have I not been in @gardeniaflowerboutique before? What a gorgeous store right here in Marda Loop! I decided I needed some flowers for a photo lesson I'm teaching and remembered I wanted to visit this boutique for a long time. As soon as I entered the store, I was so happy to be there. Gorgeous plants, beautiful flowers, friendly people, lovely decor, local products ... I just wanted to stay there, visit and soak up all the good vibes! My mom worked in a flower... shop for many years and then at Vale's greenhouse in Black Diamond before she got sick. I had a bit of a moment as I stepped out of their store as, oh my goodness, I could just so easily see my mom working there. They were so friendly and cheery and silly and down-to-earth and she would have fit right in. Did you know I have an online photography school for kids? A while back I decided to extend for my passion for photography to kids, tweens and teens. I started with some videos way, way back. Then started to teach in schools. Held the most awesome summer camps that combined photography and art. And over this past year, I was given, and made, the time to focus on building the online school. Now there are a number of classes available that are more virtual & inter...active as well as self-directed that kids can do on their own. I have invited in a couple fabulous guest teachers (and will be looking for more!) and started to build some partnerships and collaborations with different people. It's really exciting and just felt I wanted to share as I feel this next year is going to be really amazing for @kidsphotographyacademy. I am so stoked for the next couple months. The plan is to create more courses kids will really benefit from and have fun with. start teaching to different kids groups like homeschooling groups, Scouts, Guides, schools, etc. build fundraising opportunities for kids groups so they can raise money and learn a fun skill If any of those ideas raise your eyebrows, let me know!
