Marquette makes NFP as easy as it can be! Yes, there’s still periodic abstinence involved, but you don’t need to track mucus or temps. Simply test your pee in the morning, and 5 minutes later, you’ll know whether that day is available or not!
There is no approach to avoiding pregnancy that is 100% effective, and there's lots to consider when looking at effectiveness rates: was it effective for the perfect users? How hard is it to follow the rules of the method? How many pregnancies were there in the study (including couples who didn’t manage to follow all of the rules). Effectiveness will tell you a lot about how user-friendly the NFP method is. Marquette's effectiveness rates-are evidence-based, and peer-reviewed, which means that doctors agree that the study is accurate.
Over the next few days we’re going to be going through 5 things I wish my husband and I had known when we first started our NFP journey. We started our marriage naive, thinking there was only one approach to NFP - we had no idea there were options to choose from! Finding Marquette has been a marriage changer for us, and it can be for you too!
Most of the couples I teach have recently had a baby and are trying to navigate the postpartum phase of fertility. Mucus and temperatures aren’t reliable during the breastfeeding transition, which can add a great deal of frustration to your NFP journey. With Marquette, we use the Clearblue fertility monitor to track your hormone levels, so you don’t need to track mucus or temperatures!
This post isn’t fertility related, but it’s a topic that is near and dear to my heart! I’m a Catholic mom, with three little kids running around the house. It’s so rewarding to be a mom, but sometimes it’s so exhausting. Often I feel surrounded by people, but lonely at the same time. In a season of chaos and exhaustion, it’s so important to make sure that you’re caring for yourself. Self care looks different for everyone - some moms find that taking a relaxing bubble bath i...s what they need, some need some one-on-one time with a good book, some need coffee with a friend. Self care for me includes taking time to feed myself spiritually - listening to podcasts, engaging in conversation with my faith-filled friends, and taking time to pray. There’s a FREE conference coming up, and I’m really looking forward to it! It’s going to be a FEAST for our spiritual needs. The Catholic Moms Summit will have some of the most well known and loved Catholic authors/speakers talking about the real issues moms face every day and the practical steps of how to find the peace and balance we all want. If you’re a Catholic mom, this conference is for you! https://www.cardinalstudios.org/a/34145/wQiZcUeE See more
