It's somber day in the Canadian wine world as we learned about the passing of industry pioneer Harry McWatters late yesterday. McWatters was influential in building the modern Canadian wine industry helping to craft the VQA rules and framework, as well as co-founding B.C.'s first estate winery Sumac Ridge with Ontario wine visionary and viticulturist Lloyd Schmidt who passed away earlier this year. If you have any memories to share or would like to celebrate McWatters #BCWineChat on Twitter will be dedicated to him this evening. https://bc.vitis.ca/b-c-wine-community-mourns-passing-of-p/
