VIU's own Dr. Paul Watkins (Professor of English) strikes again with creativity, rap skills and video editing to engage students with the course content of English 125: Music and Literature! That's right, you learn hip hop history when you take Paul's English class!

Students from the High School at Vancouver Island University recently learned to weave cedar roses to honour First Nations soldiers. Violet Elliot of the Snuney...muxw First Nation taught the students how to weave the cedar roses, which were used to form a wreath that was laid at a Remembrance Day ceremony.
