Tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day at VMES!

We will have our first meeting of the 2020-2021 school year on Thursday, October 1st at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held at VMES in the first classroom on the left. Physical distancing will be in place. We look forward to welcoming both new and old faces

BONUS week!! Goldrush is back. If you play at Your Independent Grocer or Cummings Convenience Store, a portion of that is given back to help VMES H&S, and helps to maintain our playground! Pick up days are Tuesdays!

New Brunswick students provided with internet and technology access to support home learning

A reminder that student belongings can be picked up at the school today from 10-3pm & 6:00-7:30pm ( essential workers).

Wednesday, May 6th VMES Pick Up of Student Belongings Public and staff safety is a priority.... One caregiver is permitted to pick up bagged student belongings. If you are picking up materials for another family, you must notify the principal ([email protected] ) in advance. Caregivers are asked to go to the front entrance, adhering to social distancing protocols by standing 2 m /6 ft apart. A table will be set up for your child’s/children’s bagged belongings to be placed for pick up. You will not be permitted into the school, the belongings will be brought out to you. Please do not stay to socialize with others. Wearing a mask is not required but encouraged. Families cannot return any textbooks/library books or materials to the school at this time. Student belongings that are not picked up, will be available when schools reopen. Student Belongings Pick Up: 9:00-10:00am Pick up by caregivers with compromised immune systems or that fall into a high risk category (60+ years of age) for students in any grade level. 10:00- 1:00pm -Caregiver picking up for a Kindergarten, Grade 1, or Grade 2 student 1:00- 3:00pm Caregiver picking up for a Grade 3, Grade 4 or Grade 5 student 6:00-7:30pm Essential workers and anyone who cannot make the above times.

Good Afternoon FMBA Families, Department of Education and Early Childhood Development Minister Dominic Cardy announced today that the 2019-2020 school year has ...been cancelled for this year, and the year will not be extended. It saddens me to say with this comes the cancellation of our JR NBA Program for Spring 2020. We know this is a trying time for a lot of families in New Brunswick financially and are wanting to return your registration fees to you as soon as possible. What a fun idea! We can practice social distancing and still have fun!

In of the latest recommendation by the Chief Medical Officer, we are going to have to go ahead and postpone the movie night that we had scheduled for March 20th. We are really sorry for any inconvenience, and we will choose another date when the time is right! Thank you!
