We worked on an adaptability activity today. We started at one of 14 stations and spent 2 minutes completing a task. After the 2 minutes we moved one station and started a new task. We did practice all the guidelines of safe interaction including sanitizing.

Congratulations to Amanda Thompson for receiving Employee of the Month for October! Amanda is going back to her job at Winners next week and has put in a positive and consistent effort last month in preparing to return to work.

We are working our way around the classroom doing adaption activities in 2 minute intervals. Talk about exercising the brain!

John was awarded Employee of the Month at the Brandon Riverbank. James Montgomery, the General Manager of Brandon Riverbank Inc./Brandon Tourism presented John with his award and thanks this morning. James provided John with the positive feedback from the other staff members regarding John’s nomination, many of the comments included mentioning John’s hard work and his friendliness towards the other staff members and people visiting the Riverbank area. Thank you for approaching our program and providing John the opportunity based on his skills and abilities. John enjoyed his experience and the vocational development program appreciates the working relationship developed through this opportunity. Please note how beautiful the colours are at the Riverbank Centre and head down to enjoy this space.

Happy Wednesday Everyone! A discussion in the classroom came up yesterday regarding what they would want in a good boss. Communication, appreciation and opportunities came up often in their feedback.

September 16th: Everyone within a team situation could be experiencing different feelings. Be aware of body language and other non-verbal cues that will help you read and respond to each member of your team. Also, try to be aware of how your emotions impact a team situation.
