I thought I’d share some of James Taylor’s thoughts on empathy versus compassion. I only hope I can do this in my sessions. ..empathy is the willingness, and the desire, to imagine how you might feel in another’s experience. Compassion implies feeling pity for others, and wanting them to be more like us. True empathy invites us to enter their lives, their hopes, their dreams. ... Dream on.... dream on ....
