Salvation Army Christmas hamper information
To deny or challenge this pandemic is a slap in the face to those of us on the Frontline. This is a crisis. I have trauma even though I never show it. I self ...isolate. I come home emotionally exhausted and still have to sanitize everything and shower and drop my clothes at the door. And do again the next day. I go without water or a pee break. Yesterday I saw my own neice online challenging the latest numbers....Being a devils advocate. I don't have the energy anymore to read such ignorance and lack of respect for humanity. There are real people sick . Very sick. Staff sick. Which means shortage of staff that can't serve the people they are called to help at the most vulnerable time. ANYTHING less then : how can I serve , how can I ease this burden , I will wear my mask , I will social distance ANYTHING less then that is pure selfishness. If this was a flood or an earthquake people would be out helping their neighbors. I ask you start a movement for the Frontline workers and those they serve. This is real with no end in sight yet. It doesn't matter about numbers , it matters that we do our part. I never ask for help. I AM NOW . Not for me but my fellow coworkers and their patients. Mayor Ken PopoveKen, MLA Kelli PaddonKelli, MLA Daniel A CoulterDan, Jason LumJason, Amber PriceAmber, Ian Carmichael, Christopher Hunt, Jess Peters, Don Lehn please pass this message on to rally together in our community at this time. This means checking on your neighbors, dropping off care packages, words of encouragement, whatever it takes to bring positivity over negativity. If negativity is stronger and louder, we lose. If positively is stronger and louder , we win. People like to be part of something bigger then themselves. Perhaps those who are selfish will see our example as a community and join in coming together. And that would be the Silver Lining in all of this....#peace May I add : an example of this is one neighbor cut the lawn of a healthcare worker who was too tired to do it. See more
