We volunteers because they assist in delivering programs and services! But what happens when we can't see those #volunteers as often anymore? During the past year, many volunteer programs have had to change their volunteer roles. Part of #volunteerretention is creating an organization where volunteers feel supported and valued. This can be a challenge when our environments have changed, from less hands on volunteers, to more virtual or remote opportunities. But a challenge... means there is room to grow and become better! Our upcoming workshop, Creating Connections to Building Retention, will help Volunteer Leaders better understand volunteer retention and how to create meaningful connection with their volunteers. Why do we love volunteers? Because without them, thousands of programs and services across Manitoba wouldn’t be delivered. Because without them, our charitable sector would vanish. Because without them, our communities would not be strong and healthy. And because they are the heart of everything we do here at Volunteer Manitoba and we want them all to know how much we them! ... This week we are kicking off ‘I Volunteers/Volunteering’ to showcase how amazing volunteerism is and the impact is has in our province!
